Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has slammed the criticism over changing his car owing to superstitious belief. Siddaramaiah is at the centre of criticism for changing his car just because a crow perched on the vehicle. According to the media reports, a crow perched on bonnet stubbornly for 10 minutes despite efforts of staff to ward it off. This scene was recorded and posted on social network sites. Now, opposition party leaders started criticizing the Chief Minister for his superstitious beliefs. Opposition party leaders claim that Sidharamaiah believes in astrology and is spending huge public money. Just a week ago, Karnataka CM bought a new car Toyota Fortuner at Rs35 lakh. The car has been registered at Koramangala regional transport office. Interestingly, the new Toyota Fortuner is the same model and colour of the old car, from which the crow refused to budge. Earlier also, Sidharamaiah faced similar criticism from the opposition parties over his costly watch, which was estimated to be Rs70 lakh worth. Several stories hit the street speculating on the source of the watch. Taking a step forward, BJP leaders approached Enforcement Directorate to probe into the issue. In a bid to resolve this growing problem, Sidharamaiah handed his costly watch over to the Speaker and subsequently the Karnataka government has declared it as government asset.
