Controversial Officer ASP Anoop Kumar Shetty Transferred

Bhatkallys News Service Bhatkal 08 Sept 2016: Anoop Kumar Shetty, ASP of Bhatkal Taluka has been transferred Tirthahalli of Shimoga district on Wednesday 07 September according to reports. The controversial Officer was in limelight lately after PSI Revathi of Bhatkal town police station wrote to State Home Minister and CM alleging that she was prevented from taking strict lawful actions against “communal goons” because of the constant threats and harassment from senior officials specifically naming Anoop Kumar Shetty. The complaint was followed by a Press conference by JDS Bhatkal Unit and Majlis –e-Islah wa Tanzeem had demanded thorough inspection of the issue, and it seems now the mounting pressure on Govt. regarding the issue has led to the transfer of the officer.
