Construction workers take out Protest march in Bhatkal

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 17 November 2016: Demanding Proper and adequate supply of construction materials like sand and construction rocks/bricks, hundreds of construction workers gathered outside the Assistant Commissioner’s office and presented a memorandum and took out a protest march on Thursday. The protest march which started from Hanumath Temple Bhatkal, reached A/C office via Shamsuddin circle, where a Bhatkal Tahsildar VN Bhatkar received a copy memorandum to be forwarded to the Governor of the state, asking his interpretation to resolve the issue at the earliest. The workers have also warned of protests at higher levels if their demands are not met in time. It is to be noted that the state has been facing problems with the adequate supply of sand and constructions rocks lately, triggering the anger among the construction workers. The workers were accompanied by many familiar faces of the town in their protest march, like Krishna Naik, Nagraj Naik, Bhaaskar Moger, Auto Rickshaw union president Venkatesh Naik were among others present.
