Congress, BJP workers clash in Bhatkal police station

March 9, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Tension prevailed for sometime today near Bhatkal Town Police station after police arrested some workers of BJP and Congress parties in Bhatkal after they clashed inside the police station. According to sources, Bhatkal Block Congress Head Vithal Naik reached Town Police Station today morning to log a complaint regarding a WhatsApp message that was being circulated for the past 3-4 days. The message criticized and ridiculed him for keeping his shop closed during the Saturday's bandh called by Tanzeem. In the meanwhile, some workers from BJP party also reached the police station. Soon, the party workers from both the sides got into heated exchanges and later indulged in rioting inside the police station.
