Condolences pour in for youngest martyr

RIYADH: A large number of people gathered in Taif to offer their condolences to the family members of the youngest martyr in the Asir bomb blast on Sunday. Mamdouh Misfer Al-Harthi, 19, was the youngest among the martyrs who died in the blast at the Special Emergency Forces Mosque on Thursday. Mamdouh had joined the security forces only a few months ago. He was one of the worshippers in the mosque when Yousef bin Sulaiman Abdullah Al-Sulaiman blew himself up. The security forces Mamdouh's body for burial to Misan, a suburb in south of Taif. Moyadh Al-Harthi, leader of the Musilath tribe which the deceased belonged to, said he was very proud and happy on behalf of his tribe because the young martyr sacrificed his life for the sake of the country. Father of the deceased Misfer Al-Harthi said that he was proud that his son laid down his life for the cause of the country. Working for the country with loyalty is one of the policies advocated by Islam, he said, adding that he would encourage his other sons also to work for the security forces to serve the motherland. Al-Harthi also thanked the officers of the Special Task Force for their cooperation in times of the bereavement. "It consoled us a great deal,” he added. Eleven Special Emergency Forces (SEF) personnel and four Bangladeshi nationals were were killed in the explosion. The injured were admitted to the Asir Central Hospital and the seriously injured were taken to the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh. -arabnews
