Accident on National Highway, near Nawayat Colony; one person died, one injured. Bhatkallys News / 7th April 2013 Bhatkal / (Rizwan Gangavali):  Today morning, an accident took place in front of Nawayat Colony Telephone Exchange, between Bajaj Discover bike and a truck, in which one person died and another got seriously injured. According to information received, at around 11:30 am, two youths, residents of Shirali's Kabri Kede Gen Keri area, while riding on their bike from Bhatkal circle towards their home collided with a truck travelling towards Mangalore. As a result, one person died and another was injured. The deceased has been identified as Bhaskar Gonda (30) and the injured has been identified as Venkatesh Gonda (27), an employee of Bhatkal Telephone Exchange. The injured was given important treatment initially at the Government hospital and then sent to Manipal. The corpse after post mortem was handed over to family members. This case has been registered at Bhatkal Town Police Station.
