Collision between car and bike near Tengangundi cross; 1 injured

25th May 13 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal - One person has been severely injured in a collision between a car and a bike in front of Tengangundi cross in Bhatkal. This incident took place today morning at around 9:30 am. The injured has been identified as Manjunath Jetya Shetty, employed as a lineman in HESCOM. According to sources, car was travelling from Mangalore towards Maharashtra when it rammed into the bike turning near Lalbaug in front of Tengangundi cross. As a result, the rider of the bike got severely injured. Eyewitness' accounts said that the car driver tried a lot to save the bike, but in the end the collision happened resulting in this accident. After the incident, the injured was rushed to the government hospital in Bhatkal and preparations are under way to send him to Kundapur for further treatment. This case has been registered in Bhatkal Town Police Station.
