New Delhi : The national capital continues to remain tightly gripped by the severe cold wave. The minimum temperature improved slightly from yesterday to 2.4 degree Celsius in Delhi, but the temperature is still five degrees below normal. What's making matters worse is the icy-cold wind. Yesterday, the minimum temperature had gone down to 1.9 degree Celsius in Delhi - the coldest of the season. The city has also been hit by fog today which has disrupted rail and air traffic. 16 trains have been cancelled, 11 have been rescheduled and around 70 trains are running late. Most of the affected trains are between the northern and the northern-eastern sector. At the Indira Gandhi International Airport, seven international and nine domestic flights have been delayed due to fog with the runway visibility less than 100 metres. NDTV
