CM guarantees implementation of all 5 Cong Guarantees, final decision on Friday

Bengaluru, May 31: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has confirmed implantation of all 5 Congress Guarantees and declared that the State Cabinet will take a final decision at the next meeting on Friday. “I guarantee on behalf of the government that we will implement all the 5 guarantees,’’ he declared after holding a two-hour long meeting with the senior officials and ministers at the conference hall of Vidhana Soudha on Tuesday. Siddaramaiah said the senior officials of all the departments concerned, including the Finance Department, have submitted proposals and the financial implications. They have also given a power-point presentation. “The report of the officials is yet to be discussed by the ministers in detail. We will do it at the next Cabinet meeting on Friday at 11 am,’’ he said. The chief minister said nobody need have any apprehensions on the government’s sincerity on implementing the guarantees. “Our government has fulfilled almost all its poll promises in 2013-18. This time too, we will implement our guarantees. We have delivered on our promises in the past and do so this time too,’’ he declared. When reporters questioned the chief minister about the criticism of the BJP leaders, including former chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, Siddaramaiah shot back: “Have they fulfilled their promises in 2018? Did they waive farm loans of Rs 1 lakh? Did the Narendra Modi government implement its promises? The BJP leaders must first answer on their record. Let them not worry about our guarantees. It is promised to the people.’’ Settle dues of Ragi Growers forthwith Earlier in the morning, the Chief Minister met a delegation of Ragi Growers from the State in his home office of Krishna and directed the officials to settle the dues of farmers immediately. Siddaramaiah asked the officials to resolve the problems of non-payment issues of Ragi growers under MSP scheme immediately. He patiently heard the grievances of Ragi growers and the farming community at his home office Krishna. He asked the officials to fix the technical problems causing delay in payment to the farmers immediately.
