Chowtani residents protested against water logging

Bhatkal - 27 June 2011: Angry residents of Chowtani protested against heavy water logging and bad condition of road in their area. On this occasion people blocked the road and demanded TMC to intervene and solve this problem. On receiving this news, Bhatkal TMC President, Mr Inanyatullah Shabandri rushed to Chowtani and after listening to the grievances directed immediate restoration of road by removing excess water.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr Inayatullah said, because of non-availability of drainage system in this area, residents were earlier instructed to build safety tanks, but they were still releasing the waste water on the road and not interested in constructing safety tanks, which led to this problem. He said, action will be taken agaist those who fail to construct safety tanks and release wastes on the road.
