CET 2017: Nearly 1.85 lakh students to write examination

Bangaluru, April 26,2017:Among the 1.85 lakh students who have applied for the examination,90996 students are girls. Kannada examination for border area and other state resident Kannadigas will be held on May 4.Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is holding the examination. The examinations will be held in 404 examination center across the state out of which 82 are in Bengaluru itself. According to the KEA officials, DCs and SPs of each district have been requested to monitor the examination process and safety of the question papers which will be kept in the district treasuries. Karnataka Secure Examination System which was used for the II PUC final examination and SSLC examination will also be used for this year's CET where multi layer security coverage will be provided to question papers. "All the students are directed to reach the examination center atleast half an hour in advance," said an officer. As per the time table, Biology and Mathematics examinations will be held on May 2 while Physics and Chemistry examinations are scheduled on May 3.
