Central Government's Standing Committee for Rural Development visits Murdeshwar

Bhatkal 28 October 2018:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Standing Committee for Rural development consisting of 13 MPs of various states were welcomed to Uttara Kannada with the honor by the Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul and the officials of District Administration here at Gorte of Bhatkal on Saturday 27th Oct. The Standing Committee after visiting Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada District reached Uttara Kannada District with a strong security force at the Murdeshwar temple. The Standing Committee made up of MPs from from Delhi, Mumbai, Vijayawada, Coimbatore, Vadodra and Kolkata included Dr.P.Venugopal, Kirti Azad, Harishchandra Chavan, Gokaraju Ganga Raju, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Mausam Noor, Dr.Yeshwant Singh, Smt.Shanta Chhetri, Shamsher Singh Dullo, Javed Ali Khan, Narayan Lal Panchariya, A.K.Selvaraj, Lal Sinh Vadodia. The MPs offered special prayer at famous Murdeshwar temple, and were felicitated by the temple administration committee. The committee was later taken to RNS residency for Exhibition of homemade handicrafts and food produces made by women under Sanjivini Yojana scheme of Karnataka State rural livelihood promotion society, which were evenly displayed on 17 stalls in order of various Talukas of the district. The MPs later left to Kumta and then reached Karwar after lunch at RNS Residency of Murdeshwar. On this occasion District Executive officer Mohammed Roshan, Officials of District administration including V.S.Hegde, Shamala Mahale, SP Vinayak Patel, JP President Jayashree Moger, AC Sajjid Mulla, Tahsildar VN Bhadkar, DySP Valentine D’souza and others were present during their visit.
