CBSE Class XII results declared

CHANDIGARH: Nearly 17,500 Tricity students would know on Monday how they have fared in the Central Board of Secondary Educationa??s Class XII exams conducted from March 1 to April 17. The result would be announced at 10 am. Students can check their results on http://cbseresults.nic.in/, http://cbse.examresults.net/ or www.cbse.nic.in. They can also obtain their grades on cell phones. All they need to do is type cbse12 roll number and send it to the number that matches their subscriber. For Airtel, 5800001a and 5207011a, for MTS, 543216, for BSNL, 57766, for Tata Docomo, 54321a, 51234, 5333300 and for Vodafone, 50000. Students could also acquire the result through interactive voice response system (IVRS). This facility is available at 1255536 for BSNL subscribers, 5432128 for MTS, 54321223 for Tata Teleservice (Indicom, Docomo) and 5207011a for Airtel. This year many students appeared for the board examinations for the first time. About 43% of this batch had skipped the Class X board exams when given the option of choosing school exams in 2011. Aspiring JEE (main) candidates too are eagerly awaiting the results as for the first time their admission to top institutions would depend on them. Though the result for JEE (main) was declared on May 7, no ranks were given as a separate list would be declared by July 7 for admissions to BE/B.Tech and B.Arch/B.Planning in institutions other than IITs. This list will be based on the JEE (main) result with 60% of weightage, and class XII results with 40% of weightage. This list would decide for admission into undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IITs, other centrally funded and state technical Institutions.   Source: TOI
