Honnavar 01 July 2018: Union minister for skills development and entrepreneurship Anant Kumar Hegde and MLA of Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency Sunil Naik were seen riding bikes without wearing the helmet during the 'Four-year-Modi-rule' awareness bike rally that was held at Honnavar on Saturday which has sparked another controversy among the people.
Union Minister Anant Kumar Hegde and MLA Sunil Naik flagged off the bike rally on Saturday which was conducted at Honnavar to highlight the achievement of Modi-led four years of governance at the center.
Speaking on the occasion Hegde said that the central government led by Prime minister Narendra Modi has successfully completed 4 years in the path of development. "The people have to unite and work hard to re-elect him as Prime Minister of India once again" added the Minister.
The bike rally that started from Sharavati cricle passed through Karki check-post and through Bazar road to Manki and before reaching Anantwadi.
However, neither the Minister nor any of the party workers wore the helmet during the bike rally, which has triggered a controversy among the people.
The central as well as the state Government spends crores of rupees for advertising the awareness among people to ensure safety by wearing helmet while riding the two-wheeler, while their own representatives and ambassadors put complete negligence on display.
Subbaraya Naik, Ganapati Gowda and other party workers accompanied Anant Kumar and Sunil Naik during the bike rally.
