Idara Adab-e-Atfal launches reading awareness campaign for children for year 1447H
Bhatkal: In an effort to nurture a love for reading among children, Idara Adab-e-Atfal Bhatkal has announced the launch of its annual Reading Awareness Campaign for the Islamic year 1447 Hijri. The initiative, a much-anticipated event every year, invites young readers to participate in a structured reading competition offering exciting prizes and recognition.
According to a press release issued by Riyazur Rahman Akrami, In-charge of the Library Section at Idara Adab-e-Atfal, the campaign aims to promote regular reading habits among children by encouraging them to read more books and rewarding their efforts with monthly and yearly awards.
Children interested in participating can collect registration forms from either the Molana Abdul Bari Library or the Fitrat Library. The campaign is open to children between the ages of 6 and 18, divided into three age-based groups:
Sufla: 6 to 8 years
Wusta: 9 to 12 years
Ulya: 13 to 18 years
As part of the campaign, the child who reads the highest number of pages every month will be honoured with the Nanha Qari Award. In addition, other participants demonstrating consistent reading habits will also be recognised with prizes, trophies, and certificates.
At the end of the Hijri year 1447, top-performing participants will be conferred with the prestigious Fakhr-e-Atfal Award, along with special gifts and honours.
In a noteworthy highlight, additional awards will also be presented by the All India Adab-e-Atfal Society, headquartered in Delhi, thereby expanding the recognition to a national level.
The campaign organisers have called upon parents and guardians to encourage their children to join the programme, noting that such efforts not only boost academic growth but also instill discipline and love for knowledge from a young age.
For more information, interested families can visit the libraries mentioned above or get in touch with the organisers at Idara Adab-e-Atfal Bhatkal.
