Case against media house for publishing political ad without permission

Karkala 19 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A case has been filed by EC Officials against a the editor of weekly tabloid for violating model code of conduct by publishing an advertisement without seeking prior permission from MCMC team. R Devaraya Prabhu, Editor of Janabimba, a weekly tabloid had published an advertisement in favour of the Karkala Congress aspirant Muniyal Uday Shetty in its April 10-16 edition. As it raised to the violation of model code, Karkala election returning officer A Krishna has filed the case in Karkala Police Station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa)
