Bhatkal, Feb 3: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A district-wide campaign will be launched across Uttara Kannada to strengthen minorities, backward classes and Scheduled Castes and Tribes under the AHINDA platform by creating educational, social and political awareness, said Dr Nagesh Naik Kagal, President of the United Front of District Public Welfare Organisations.

Addressing a press conference in Bhatkal, Dr Nagesh Naik said meetings are being organised in all taluks with the aim of consolidating the AHINDA organisation. He said the campaign will focus on politically empowering the youth and encouraging them to follow constitutional values in their daily lives. As part of the initiative, taluk- and district-level coordination committees will be formed to strengthen social movements and work towards political empowerment. Future programmes will be planned based on the ideals of Brahmashri Narayana Guru. He added that several prominent leaders in Bhatkal have already expressed their support for strengthening the AHINDA organisation.

Moger, speaking on the occasion, said there is a strong need for an organised AHINDA platform in the district and emphasised the importance of social and political awareness among AHINDA communities.
