Byndoor: Theft of ornaments worth 12.72 lac reported in a temple

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa Byndoor 07 April 2018: A case of theft has been reported in a temple in the early hours of Friday, April 6 where burglars made their way out with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 12.72 lac from Laxmi Venkataramana Temple of Uppunda near Byndoor. The thieves broke into the temple premises through compound wall and broke into the sanctum and took away an silver polished idol, gold and silver ornaments. The priest who came into the temple in early morning after noticing mess in the place informed concerned immediately. The police along with the canine squad and finger print experts visited the spot for investigation on the matter. Additional SP Kumarchandra, Byndoor CPI Paramesh Gunaga, PSI Thimmesh B N also visited the spot and collected necessary information. A case has been registered in the Byndoor Police Station and investigation is underway.
