Byndoor is now officially a Taluk, Kiran Gourayya first Tahsildar

Bhatkallys News Bureau Byndoor 15 February 2018: Byndoor was officially declared a Taluk and was inaugurated by Revenue Minister, Kagodu Thimmappa at the premises of the Special Tahsildar Office on Wednesday, Feb 14 at Byndoor. K Gopal Poojary, local MLA presided over the function and addressed audience. In his address he said, Rs 11 Crore has been sanctioned for court building and for building a bus stand, the work for which is expected to begin soon as the tendering process gets completed. He then requested minister to help the Taluk get a mini Vidhana Soudha and a fly-over bridge for the highway. Thimmappa announced that it is the 50th new Taluk to come into existence in his tenure. He then promised to set up mini Vidhana Soudha and fly-over bridge construction on Byndoor National Highway as per the request of local MLA. On the occasion special Tahsildar Kiran Gourayya, first ever Tahsildar of new Taluk was felicitated. Along with Priyanka Mary Francis (Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district),  Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer and members, and taluka Panchayat members were present during the occasion.
