Byndoor: BJP condemns Gururaj Kharvi arrest in bike torching incidents; threatens of 'Violent protests'

Byndoor 17 Jan 2018: Sadananda Uppinakudru, Byndoor BJP Block President condemned the arrest of
Gururaj Kharvi, who was arrested on Jan 14 at Gangoli in connection with the bike torching incidents that were taking place in the town.
"Gururaj is an innocent fisherman", said Sadananda in a press meet.
Police had earlier confirmed involvement of Gururaj in all the three bike torching incidents.

Sadananda further said, Gururaj was forcibly arrested by sprinkling petrol over his clothes when he was asleep and then by forcibly alleging that he was the one who was involved in bike torching incidents. He further said, the entire fishermen community is being harassed by the police officials after this incident and are not being allowed to go for a fishing at night and demanded this to be stopped.
He urged government to stop dragging innocent citizen into the dirty political games and said Gururaj is not a member of activist of any political party and that he should not be a victim of dirty politics.
He further questioned police about imposition of 'Section 307' of IPC on Gururaj when nobody has complaint about any assault on them.
He finally demanded the immediate withdrawal of cases against Gururaj failing which the BJP would turn to violent protests and jail bharo movement for Gururaj's release.
