Bring new laws against attacks on Doctors: IMA Bhatkal unit writes to Union Health Minister

Bhatkal 5 October 2019: Members of Indian Medical Association, Bhatkal Taluka, submitted a memorandum to Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner of addressed to the Union Health Minister to bring in new laws for protection of Doctors from assault by the patients and their families. The memorandum was submitted on Friday at AC's office. The memorandum stated that the doctors across the country are facing physical assaults and verbal arguments by the patients and their families, and that there was a need to bring new laws against violence against doctors and for taking strict action on those found guilty. Dr. sharaf spoke on the occasion and said "A law has to be enforced that should call for strict action against those who assaults doctors." On this occasion Association President Ganesh Prabhu, Abdul Khadir, Dr. Gayatri, Vinuta, Nasim Khan and others were present.
