BPL Press Release: Decision on new team selection reverted after Jamia Islamia decree

Dubai – 04 Dec 2012: Inclusion of 2 new teams in upcoming Bhatkal Premier League was reverted after Jamia Islamia Bhatkal’s Department of Jurisprudence (Darul Ifta) issued a fatwa against the selection process. It may be noted that, recently 2 new teams have been given chance to participate in this year’s BPL through open bidding. After this verdict, the selection will be done through lottery.
