Boy dies while playing in the sand near Murdeshwar Golf Club

Bhatkal - A fourteen year old boy died when he was buried alive in the sand pit due to sudden landslide near Murdeshwar Gold Club. The incident occurred when the boy was playing with her sister outside their home near the beach. The deceased has been identified as Job Benna Gomes.

Bhatkal Tahsildar Dr Madhukeshwar, Additional SP Mr Subhash Godmane, CPI Mr Pramod Rai, Murdeshwar PSI Mr Naveen Jogi visited the spot and launched the rescue operation.

According to the sources, the girl was rescued and the boy was buried under tons of sand. His dead body was recovered with the help of JCB machine.

A case has been registered in the Murdeshwar police station and the body was handed over to the relatives after conducting post-mortem at Govt Hospital.
