Body of twelve year old kid who was washed away at Tarasi beach on Sunday, found

Kundapur 24 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The body of twelve year old Junaid who was washed away at Tarasi beach during high tides on Sunday was found at Maravanthe beach on Monday afternoon. As per the reports the family of Junaid had come to Shirur from Mangaluru to attend a wedding ceremony and while returning back, they stopped at Tarasi beach and went into the waters for swimming. Due to the rise in water levels on Sunday which was reported across the coast starting Murdeshwar, three of the family members were washed away into the sea, a group of people from Madikeri immediately rescued two of them while Junaid was not traceable. In Bhatkal, while speaking to Bhatkallys.com on Sunday the coastal police had termed the rise in water level as 'Unusual movement in water and nonseasonal'. READ ALSO: Bhatkal: Residents panic as water levels rise at Nastar beach The two rescued members of the family were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Kundapur while the search operation for Junaid continued overnight.
