BMTC to set uniform monthly bus pass rate at Rs 1050

BENGALURU: Come February 1, BMTC monthly passes will all be priced uniformly at Rs 1050. BMTC has proposed uniform pass rate and do away with two types of it, one worth Rs 850 and the other 1300. This can be used for all classes/types of bus services. The monthly pass holder will require to get an identity card issued by the corporation and furnish both together while boarding a bus. But this will not be applicable for other types of passes issued for school students, disables commuters, senior citizens and freedom fighters. Around 30% of BMTC commuters use monthly bus pass, it claimed. -TOI
