BENGALURU: Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has said that in recent past it has come to light that day passes being issued to passengers are being misused by transferring the pass from one person to another and resale of the pass by making alterations in date or month etc. So in order to curb the misuse of day pass the passengers are requested to have the following ID cards along with the day pass: It is compulsory for a passenger to possess Rs 25 (one year validity) or Rs 100 (three year validity) BMTC Identification Card while purchasing day pass of Rs 65. Similarly from now onwards it is compulsory for a passenger, to show any flexi Identification Card like Voter ID, Driving license, Pan Card, Aadhaar card, Passport, Ration card and identification card issued by the Government of India or Karnataka or any authorized card issued by the company/institution, to the Conductor while purchasing the day pass of Rs 70. From now onwards there is no need for passenger, purchasing the day pass to put signature in the day pass. The previous regulation of passenger signature in the day pass is withdrawn. -TOI
