BMJ Muscat honours meritorious students

22 Oct 2013 / Aftab Kola / Bhatkallys News MUSCAT: The Bhatkal Muslim Jamat Muscat, in a bid to encourage students to further excel in academics, honoured three Bhatkali students for obtaining 80 per cent and above marks. Mohammed Refaq Qamar Merchant (for Xth), Siham Naite Zubair (for 12th ) and Fatima Sabahat SM Syed Husain (for graduation) were conferred with BMJ Muscat Academic excellence awards. These awards were handed out by Bhatkal's legendary personalities, SM Syed Khalil and Yunus Kazia. These awards were started in 2012. Aftab Kola, the convenor of BMJ education committee, said that the Jamat education cell is engaged in promoting education. He said, “The Jamat offers scholarships with an aim to offer financial assistance in the form of a soft loan for pursuing professional education to the needy and meritorious sons and daughters of BMJ Muscat members. Two students are currently beneficiaries of this scheme.” Members are requested to avail this scholarship offer by applying with the Jamat. bmj-muscat-eid-milan-08
