BMJ Jeddah holds grand Eid Milan

Jeddah: Bhatkal Muslim Jamaat (BMJ) Jeddah celebrated a grand Eid Milan here at Trident Hotel, Makkah on the night of Eid. The programme commenced with the recitation of Quran by Abdul Rasheed Misbah. After the welcome speech by General Secretary Qamar S'ada, Moulvi Usama Muneeri presented Naat Pak.
Speaking at the function, Moulana Ansar Madni said that just as we excelled in worshipping and good deeds out of God's fear during the month of Ramadan, we should continue doing the same even after Ramadan.
Zahid Ruknuddin in his address congratulated everyone for Eid and said this function is held so that members of the community can interact with each other and also to reward students who have excelled in their academics. Expressing concern on the illegal activities carried out by some of the youths of Bhatkal, he said that senior members of the community are working hard to improve the fame and reputation of Bhatkal but activities of some youths are causing harm to our reputation, hence, strict action should be taken against them. Chief guest of the function, Abdullaah Damudi also expressed his thoughts on this occasion.
In this session, students hailing from Bhatkal were awarded with gold medals and memento for excellence in exams from first till degree classes. Farha, daughter of Shoaib Mohatesham was awarded for scoring 95% marks in Class X, Fatima, daughter of Irshad Mohatesham was awarded for scoring 92% marks in Class XII and Minal, daughter of Yaseen Askeri was awarded for scoring 88% marks in BBA.
In the second session of Eid Milan, there were various competitions, quizes, dramas, songs and dialogues to entertain the audience. In this, prizes were also distributed for a quiz competition announced one month back wherein Moulvi Usama Muneeri won the first prize 10 gm gold, followed by Inam Shareef who won 8 gm gold. A lucky draw and live Naity quiz were also held in this session. This year, a separate ladies program was also organized for women residing in Jeddah.
The programme ended with delivery of the vote of thanks by program convenor Habibullaah Mohatisham.
