BMA Jeddah felicitates S M Khaleelur Rahman

Jeddah - 26 June 2011: Bhatkalli community in Jeddah felicitated Mr S M Syed Khaleelur Rahman in recognition of his selfless services rendered for the upliftment of Ummate-e-Muslimah in general and the Bhatkalli community in particular at a felicitation program held here in Jeddah's Red Sea Palace Hotel. The program was attended by renowned Islamic scholar and founder of IRF and Peace TV, Dr Zakir Naik. Mr Naik felicitated Mr Khaleel by presenting him a Memento and Letter of Appreciation on behalf of BMAJ.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr Khaleel thanked BMAJ for the honour and said, 'Whatever good work i had done is for Allah without expecting any reward from people.' He said, in this modern age, it is our duty to guide our youths who are running after easy bucks that would lead them to a disaster. He said that in order to control this, we need support of community leaders and parents.

The program was started with the Qirat of Moulvi Abdul Bari Damda at around 10:30 pm. Secretary BMAJ welcomed the guest and former president BMAJ, Mr Ishaque Shabandri introduced the guests and briefly shed light on the achievements of Mr Khaleelur Rahman. Mr Koteshwar Shuaib presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the services and achievements of Mr Khaleelul Rahman rendered to the community.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Zakir Naik expressed his happiness over the interaction with Bhatkalli community and advised people to get involved in spreading the message of peace in every corner of world.

The program was concluded with the dua of K M Zubair at around 2:00 am.
