Blue Whale Challenge: Delhi HC issues show cause notice to Google, Yahoo on blocking web links

Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought response from tech companies, including Google and Yahoo, on blocking of websites and web links associated with the infamous Blue Whale "game". The court also sought response from the Centre and the Delhi Police while hearing a plea seeking direction to Internet firms to immediately remove links of the online game. The Delhi HC has taken the notice of Blue Whale after a plea was filed in the court on August 17. The plea seeks that the court should direct internet companies to censor or block web links that are connected to Blue Whale. Today the court deliberated on the plea. The Blue Whale Challenge is a set of online tasks that climaxes with the players ending their own lives.
