Blood donation camp held in memory of Dr U Chittaranjan

Bhatkal – A blood donation camp to commemorate 70th birthday of famous social worker and ex-MLA of Bhatkal late Dr U Chittaranjan was held here at Chinnapattana Devasthan, Bhatkal Bundar and Maruthi Devasthan Shirali. The event was supported by different social and religious organizations including Seva Vahini, Salgedde Sports Club, Shri Maruti Credit Co-operative Society, Shri Maruti Seva Mandal Shirali, Rotary Club Bhatkal, Konkan Kharvi Society, Sharada Seva Samiti Bundar, Diagnomed Bhatkal and KMC Hospital Mangalore & Manipal. The camp was inaugurated by minister of Primary & Higher Education, Mr Visveswar Hegde Kageri at Chinnapattana Devasthan Bhatkal and was presided over by Bhatkal Asst. Commissioner Mr V R P Manohar. On this occasion Bhatkal ASP Mr Sudhir Kumar Reddy, President Seva Vahini Mr Surendra Shanbhag, Mr Pramod Alagharu – COO KMC Mangalore, Dr Madhusudhan Upadhyaya – Medical Superintendent KMC Hospital Attavar Mangalore, Dr Anand Venu Gopal – Deputy Medical Superintendent KMC Hospital Ambedkar Circle Mangalore, Dr Rajesh Chittaranjan, Dr Ramesh, Narendra Naik and others were present.
