BJP's office-bearers meet to set agenda for two-day national executive

BENGALURU: BJP's national office-bearers on Wednesday met to set the agenda for the two-day national executive meet begining on Friday in Bengaluru amid tight security. BJP national President Amit Shah and top leaders from Karnataka are participating in the office-bearers meet. Prime minister Narendra Modi is expected to arrive in Bengaluru around 2 pm from New Delhi and attend the national executive meet on Friday and Saturday. Bengaluru is all decked up to receive the Prime minister with saffron flags and lotus buntings put up in every nook and corner of the city. The two-day national exceutive meeting scheduled to begin on Thursday is aimed at expanding party's base in southern states where it is weak.The meeting will also discuss an action plan to reach out to people on the achievements of Narendra Modi government. The conclave will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will camp here for three days. Other top leaders, like L K Advani have already arrived in city. Over 300 members some permanent and special invitees of the National Executive, including chief ministers of all BJP-ruled states, state presidents and all former chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP will be present at the meet. -TOI
