BIFA becomes football champions at Dubai Dassera Sports Meet 2019

UAE/Bhatkal: To mark the occasion of Dassera, "Dubai Dassera Sports Meet-2019" was organised by 'Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru', wherein Bhatkal Football team, BIFA emerged champions in football tournament held at Etisalat Sports Academy, Dubai. BIFA, led by Sulaiman SM defeated Super 11 in the first match with 1 - 0 score, overcame Coorg United in their second match in the penalty game after the match ended with 1 - 1 tie. And finally made it to finals by defeating Mangalore FC with 2 -1 score. In the finals, BIFA emerged champions by defeating Badriya FC. The finals turned into a nail-biting contest as the match and penalty shootout ended with 1 - 1 tie. However, BIFA emerged Victorious by saving a goal in the 'Sudden Death' contest. Man of the match was awared to Zeeshan Siddique, while the best goal keeper was awarded to Mohammed Adil both representing BIFA.
