Bhatkal's leading NGO Tanzeem to hold 5-day journalism workshop

Bhatkal: (21, July,2018) Majlise Islah wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal's leading NGO will conduct a 5-day journalism workshop for students who are interested in pursuing journalism as a part-time/ fulltime career. A group of the top media and literary personalities will serve as resource persons, said Mr. Aftab Hussain Kola, Convenor of Tanzeem's Media Watch committee.
He briefed that the workshop, to be held from Oct 20-24 with a formal inauguration on October 19th afternoon, will offer an opportunity for those who want to become journalists and will give an insight into the courses and colleges available in the field of journalism - print, TV and social media. He further said that the workshop would be open for PU and degree students from Bhatkal upto Kumta only.
Adding that only a maximum of 50 students can enrol for the workshop, he requested all the interested students to register for the event by sending an email to bhatkalmediawatch@gmail.com with full name, age, father's name, address, course of study, college name and a passport-sized photo. "Students from Bhatkal to Kumta can participate in the event.
Tanzeem General Secretary Muhiddin Altaf Kharuri stated that we are trying our best to get the resource persons of the highest repute. We are planning to get eminent journalist Mr. Ravish Kumar to inaugurate the workshop.
He further said that the Muslim community is in need of courageous journalists who can raise important issues and educate the public. "This need has intensified further in today's scenario. Majlis-e-Islah Wa Tanzeem is ready to extend its full support and is ready to provide all the facilities to the students who want to come forward in the field of journalism and mass media." He added.
