Bhatkal's Abdur Rahim Patel elected Executive Committee member of MEASI

Bhatkal 2 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Prominent social activist and active member of Bhatkal Muslim Association Chennai Abdul Rahim Patel has been elected as the Executive Committee member of Muslim Educational Association of Southern India (MEASI).
Abdul Rahim was voted sixth highest number of votes of 27 members who had filed nominations for the election of 20 Executive Committee members, the election was conducted on September 12, 2018.
MEASI administers MEASI Academy of Architecture, MEASI Institute of Management, MEASI Institute of Information Technology, MEASI College of Education, MEASI Chartered Accountant Academy and The New College among others. MEASI, a pioneer educational Institution in Tamil Nadu, has a strength of 6,000 members on its roll.
During the election, the prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, has been elected unopposed president of MEASI, who will succeed U M Khalilullah, a senior chartered accountant who served MEASI as its honorary secretary and president for two terms.
T Rafeeq Ahmed, an educationist and a businessman, and Elias Sait, a chartered accountant, were elected honorary secretary and treasurer respectively, along with other office-bearers and executive committee members during the election.
