Bhatkallys.com impact: Shopkeepers breath sigh of relief as TMC cleans fish market's waste dumping area

Bhatkal 25 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Local shopkeepers near Bhatkal fish market here, breathed sigh of relief on Saturday as the Town Municipal Council (TMC) cleaned the fish market's waste dumping area here, after reports of pathetic and unhygienic condition and waste management appeared in Bhatkallys.com earlier last week. TMC Senior health officer Sujiya had earlier added while speaking to Bhatkallys.com that taking the note of the report she will visit the spot, get it cleaned and initiate against violators. However the market has now been cleaned but no reports of any action initiated has been reported thus far. Local shopkeepers however expressed their satisfaction over the action of TMC and said that the cleaning drive has helped them and passerby, and that now the market looks better. "This looks fine, we can breath easy now, we are happy that the TMC responded quickly on the issue to sort this out" said one of the local shopkeeper. (Bhatkallys Special News Bureau/ Ismail Zaorez)
