Bhatkalli student to represent Karnataka University at National level Taekwondo Championship

Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 13 Sept 2017: Nawaz Sharif, a final year student of BA in Criminology at Karnataka college Dharwad will represent the Karnataka university in national level Taekwondo championship to be held at Amritsar in November. Nawaz, who hails from Bhatkal, qualified for the championship after winning the university blues competition held in Dharwad earlier this month. Nawaz qualified under 80 kgs category, and booked himself the berth to Amritsar for National level championships. He said, after completing his schooling in Shams English Medium school and pre-university at Anjuman Boys PU college Bhatkal he admitted himself into  Karnataka college Dharwad for a degree in Criminology and was recently elected the secretary of NSUI (Students wing of Indian National Congress. National Students' Union of India) Uttar Kannada District in his final year. Apart from this, Nawaz is also preparing to write UPSC exams after his graduation and dreams of becoming an IPS officer. Speaking exclusively to www.Bhatkallys.com Nawaz said, He developed interest into martial arts after getting admitted into Karnataka college Dharwad and took up Taekwondo in his first year of college.
