Bhatkalli players win big at District level Muslim Badminton Championship

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 22 Feb 2018: The teams from Bhatkal participated in the recently held District level Muslim Badminton Championship held at Ankola and organized by W friends organization. Two participating teams from Bhatkal emerged winners and runners-up in the tournament. The doubles tournament was played on Wednesday, while over 20 teams participated in the tournament including three doubles team from Bhatkal. Ibrahim Jukka and Malik Damda, Nihal Kola and Abdul Baqui, Hussam Shabandri and Abdul Barr were the three teams participated from Bhatkal. Ibrahim Jukka and Malik Damda won the tournament beating Nihal Kola and Abdul Baqui in the final match. The team of Hussam Shabandri and Abdul Barr lost to Nihal Kola and Abdul Baqui in the quarter final match earlier in the tournament. Rs. 5000 and 3000 were awarded to winners and runner up team respectively along with trophies.
