Bhatkali attends Pravasi Bharatiya Divas-2011

DUBAI, January 11,2011 (Bhatkallys News) : Mohammad Musab Ruknuddin, Project Manager at the Emirates Post Group Holding, Dubai, had the honour of attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas-2011 held at New Delhi from Jan 7-9.

Says Musab, 'It was an enriching experience to be there for this event and participating in the debates at various sessions of this annual convention to connect with India's 27-million strong diaspora in over 150 countries.' Musab was officially invited for the event.

Musab adds, 'I had an occasion to meet and have close interaction with several Ministers including the Prime Minister and the President; some of the prominent personalities attending the conference were Anand Satyanand (Governor General of New Zealand), Mohan Jashanmal, Dr Mohammad Ali Galfar (Oman), Youssuf Ali MA (LULU), B. R Shetty (UAE Exchange), Sam Pitroda (Advisor to the Prime Minister) and many more.

Adds Musab, 'Bhatkal community members should try and attend such conventions. I was informed that Aftab Kola was supposed to attend this event but was later told that he dropped the idea because of work commitments in Oman. I encourage our fellow community members to participate in the next year's PBD which will be held in Jaipur (Rajasthan) from 7th to 9th January, 2012. This will give us the opportunity to understand the global Indian diaspora.'
