Bhatkal youngster killed in road accident near Mangaluru

Bhatkal:10 February, 2026 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)Ifham Shabandri, 18, son of Sameer Shabandri, died in a road accident near Mangaluru on Tuesday. He was a student and was travelling from Bhatkal in a car along with his friends when another car reportedly hit their vehicle.

Ifham died on the spot due to the impact of the collision. His friends, who were travelling with him in the same car, escaped without injuries and are safe.

Local police rushed to the spot soon after the accident. The body was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru, where the postmortem is currently being conducted. Further legal formalities are underway.

After completion of the required procedures, the body will be brought to Bhatkal for the last rites.
