Bhatkal 13 Jan 2018: Chefs of Akshara Dasoha scheme on Friday submitted a memorandum seeking hike in their salaries citing inflation in local markets.
The chefs also mentioned that the scheme started in 2002 to serve fresh mid-day meals to the students of schools and has since then seen no hike in salaries even after 15 years.
The memorandum also urged the government to increase the funds allotted to them as the inflation in market doesn’t allow them to make the best food for the students as the funds allotted are not sufficient.
Geeta Naik, Komal Devadiga, Chandrakala Naik, Netravati Naik, Mamta Naik and other were present while submitting the memorandum.
