Bhatkal woman who has baked for royal family of Bahrain, releases her book of recipes in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 28 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Mubina Maqbool, a Bhatkalli baker and recipe developer based in Bahrain on Monday released her book 'A Confectioner's Secrets' in Bhatkal, which has recipes of breakfast bakes, desserts, chocolate brownies, cookies, cakes and frostings. Mubina who is also the granddaughter of late MLA of Bhatkal SM Syed Yahya, gained popularity when she was invited to create a themed delight for Bahrain TV's Eid celebratory show, after she had served and baked for the royal family of Bahrain, her work has also been covered on the weekly publication of 'The Gulf Daily News'. The self taught baker and recipe developer also won the first place in the category of "The best chocolate dessert" in a chocolate themed contest. The book, according to a press release, "is a culmination of her experiences over the years". Mubina also founded 'Melting Moments' a business venture of her own after 'learning through numerous trials and errors and practice over the years' The press release also adds that the reason behind writing the book is to motivate more people like her, who are interested in baking but would not try it just for the fear of not getting the best results, a reason which has also had her conducting baking workshops, promoting home baking and healthy eating bakes and desserts without using artificial flavors.
