Bhatkal: Woman staying with her nephew attacked by three drunk people; two arrested

Bhatkal 14 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Three unidentified men on Friday attacked a man who was staying with at a private lodge with her aunt, near Mudbhatkal locality of Bhatkal. According to the reports the victim was chased on a bike by three miscreants to his lodged and started slapping him, when the woman tried to stop the attackers, they allegedly slapped her too. Bhatkal police however on Saturday arrested two of the accused, identified as Raghu and Jayant and are questioning the duo. According to the police, during the initial questioning the duo revealed that they chased the man in the influence of alcohol and that they had no particular reason for that, however when they reached the lodge he was staying in and started abusing the victim, his aunt interfered and tried to stop them which irked the attackers who then attacked her. A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station and the look out for the third attacker has been launched by a police team. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Fristen Dias)
