Bhatkal woman fed-up with alcoholic husband commits suicide

Bhatkal 14 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A woman committed suicide allegedly after being fed up of husband’s alcohol addiction here at Udupi district hospital here in the wee hours of Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Lakshmi Devadiga (28), a resident of Shirali. According to the reports, Frustrated Lakshmi, gulped liquid poison on December 9, and was rushed to a hospital in Shirali. However, she was later shifted to Bhatkal Taluka Government Hospital, and was then taken to Udupi District Hospital, where she breathed her last on Thursday morning, as she did not respond to the treatment there. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
