Bhatkal: Woman falls off bike after opening umbrella on bike amidst heavy wind; dies

Bhatkal 8 July 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 27-year old woman succumbed to her injuries after falling off a bike as she opened her umbrella amidst heavy rain and winds. The incident was reported from Marukeri locality of Bhatkal on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Adiyamma Gonda (27), a resident of Jali. According to reports Adiyamma opened her umberalla amidst heavy rain and wind while travelling on bike with her uncle, resulting in her falling off the bike and sustaining head injuries. She was soon rushed to Taluka Government Hospital of Bhatkal, where the doctors declared her dead. Adiyamma was reportedly working at City Medicals as sales girl in Bhatkal. Her body was later handed over to family after post mortem. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
