Bhatkal woman completes PhD in a comparative study of operational practice of public and private banks in Karnataka

Bhatkal 16 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) In a moment of pride for the people of Bhatkal, Shantashri Rameshwar Haridas, a woman hailing from Chitrapur of Bhatkal Taluka has been completed PhD from Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Bijapur, on the operational practice of public and private sector banks in Karnataka. Under the guidance of Prof. Meena R. Chamchavarkar, she researced on the topic “Training and Performance Operational Practice – A comparative study of selected private and public sector banks in Karnataka” and completed her PhD from the Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Bijapur. Shantashri is the daughter of Chitrapur Temple’s priest Rameshwar G. Haridas and Vaidehi Haridas, and completed her B.Com Graduation from Shri Guru Sudhindra College of Bhatkal and pursued M.Com from Karnatak University Dharwad. During the course of PhD, Shantashri also served as the guest lecturer at Akkamahadevi University, while she is now employed as the lecturer at Sheshadripuram college of Yelahanka.
