Bhatkal Urban Bank posts 2.51 crore profit in 2010-11

Bhatkal - 13 April 2011: Karnataka's most famous co-operative bank, Bhatkal Urban Co-operative Bank posted 2.51 crores profit in the current fiscal year. This was announced in a press release by the Bank President, Mr Abdubaker Ali Kasimji. According to the press release, Urban Bank is the first co-operative society to get category-2 license from Reserve Bank of India for doing foreign exchange. Apart from this facility, Bank has other facilities for its customers like RTG, NEFT, E-Stamping etc.
It may be noted that, bank has 7 branches including 3 branches and an extension counter (Main branch, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal Bazar, AEC Extension) in UK district and 3 branches (Gangolli, Shiruru, Kundapur) and an extension counter in Udupi district. Bank's 8th branch is expected to open next month at Nawayath Colony.
