Bhatkal: Unidentified body found near Sarpankatte lake

Bhatkal 27 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A dead body of an unidentified man was found in a decomposed state, floating in the lake near Sarpanakatta of Bhatkal here on Saturday 26 May 2018.
According to the reports the age of the person is said to be between 30-35 years and is thought to be into the water for 10-15 days.
The police is currently suspecting that the victim must have slipped into the water and came floating to the shores at Sarpankatte lake, the reason behind investigating in this angle is said to be because the body was floating on the shores and is of over 10-15 days old.
Local police rushed on the spot and shifted the body to Bhatkal Taluka Government Hospital for the post-mortem to ascertain the reason of death.
A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station.
