Bhatkal: Two teens killed in a road mishap

Bhatkallys News Service/ I Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 29 April 2017: The locals of Bhatkal woke up to an shocker, with the news of a ghastly road accident on Sagar road killing one on the spot and seriously injuring another one who later succumbed to the injuries at a private hospital in Udupi. The two deceased have been identified as Saifaan (19) and Nawaz Malpa (19) both residents of Bhatkal. The mishap took place in the early hours of Saturday at around 4.30 am when four friends were returning back home from their road trip. Saifaan who was eventually driving the car lost his control over the wheels and rammed the vehicle in to a tree off the road. Both the deceased were reportedly occupying the front seats while two others who were on the back seats had some minor injuries, and immediately started calling for the help from the passing vehicles but to their misfortune nobody stopped by for their help. They then called for an ambulance and by the time it reached the accident spot Saifaan had breathed his last and Nawaz was rushed to the Taluka Government Hospital in a critical condition. Nawaz was later shifted to Adarsha Hospital Udupi after necessary first aid in Bhatkal, where he succumbed to his injuries. Both Saifaan and Nawaz are said to be awaiting the results of their recently concluded Pre-University Board exams.
