Bhatkal: Two fishing boats sank, loss of 30 lakh reported

Bhatkallys News Service/Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 07 February 2017: An estimated loss of more than 30 lakh Rupees has been reported by local boat owners Yashwant Masti Moger and Laxman Shaniyar Moger after two fishing boats owned by them capsized in the rough seas off the coast here on Monday. The incident occurred near Tengingundi when the fishermen were returning from fishing in the evening after sailing the Arabian Sea for a whole day. Both the boats capsized and sank in the waters while all the 8 fishermen on board were saved by the locals who noticed the incident and responded for the rescue. Local Police reached the spot and registered a case.
